New Year's Eve, December 31, in the Gregorian calendar, is also referred to as Saint Sylvester's Day. 

This holiday is usually celebrated by evening social gatherings, at which most people drink, dance, eat and usually enjoy a fireworks' show that symbolizes the beginning of a new year. Midnight is the ultimate time for a kiss, a new year's kiss.
